Thank you all very much!
Wait a minute, is it snowing now? What season is this? Why is everything so green and why are there leaves on that tree if it’s cold enough to snow? Unless that isn’t snow, but I can see Fox Dad’s breath, I think, so…? I am confused about the setting now.
I’ve seen snow in July.
I wouldn’t overthink it.
Although, I was wondering if it was snow myself…
It sets the perfect bittersweet tone though.
And I’ve seen it in June, but really, how common is snowfall during those months? Like were they really that “lucky” here to get snow just at one of the sadder moments of the comic so far in what’s obviously not a fall or winter month? There’s too much foliage on that tree to be spring I think, too. I feel rain would make more sense and would be just as sad, imo.
I thought it was like stardust or something up to this point, now I’m just laughing because wow that snow is REALLY forced in there for the sake of mood.
I’m still a reader and I still like the comic but forgive me if I roll my eyes a little bit at this.
Oh great, more global warming.
Haha 😛 Very funny.
That feeling when you realize why Bambi’s mother won’t wake up… Multiplied exponentially.
Hello, I am new here.
I found this comic about a week ago and decided to read it all in one go back then.
It was a mistake. I should have taken a pause every few pages.
The story is quite surreal, and the poor protagonist keeps suffering all types of unreal tortures! Losing a mother after she’s flayed alive, having her home threatened, being mistreated by her family, losing a limb and dying, spending the afterlife with said limb still missing, being transformed into a half-human (which she thought to be monsters), and now granting her murderer a wish!
Don’t get me wrong, the backround story is intriguing and looks and backstory of each character is wonderful, both in aesthethics and diversity. But man! Is this a tragic and really surreal story!
It’s true, but so much tragedy is bound to have some great happy moments, we just haven’t got there yet.
Thanks for reading so far!
This appears to be the first usage of thought bubbles, and, Scott, I think it might a good idea to use a caption box for the protagonist’s thoughts (Citation: Deadpool.). It would look less cartoony, and it would more professional. After all, it is standard practice these days (Citation: Deadpool.). Just a suggestion. 🙂
It started snowing 3 comics ago, and people are really only noticing it now. And I mean everyone. Including me.
To be fair, I noticed, but due to the background looking mid-summer or something, I didn’t understand that it was snow and not star dust or some shit.
It really wasn’t clear, in my opinion.
empathic weather
